Has anyone mucked with stealth? Since animal aggro seems to be motion/speed based now I'm wondering if stealth plays a role.

Any bear guides for solo players?

Honestly, we've killed three bears during the running phase. The enrage phase in legacy was ~100 hp or something? We've killed them through the rage chance every time so far.

I agree that's not reliable though. The one time we mess up probably dead meat.

That might be possible with a group whiling on it but I am hermiting so I need a to spread my lp on other skills, so with 25 str, agi and 15 UA I can't possible take more than one hit from an enraged bear. Nvm though I managed to bait one with a horse to a trap and managed to arrow him to death, will keep it my method from now. Almost died during baiting though.

I got killed by a badger who was in aggro after i shot him with 150 hp arrow. So i guess i roll double 1 on my luck dice.

Yeah I definitely been feelin there is a element of randomness to fleeing, which is good.

I've noticed bats don't always run when low. I've had boar not run when low, etc.

@sevenless yeah I would hope in future certain animals run when you try and get close, such as deer/foxes and so you need stealth to aggro. I think jorbtar something similar in salem after I stopped playing.

@Kinglazy should a solo newish character really be able to solo a bear tho? I mean you can right now terrain allowing, wall in into a penisula or something crafty - but generally think its very much OK that I need friends to take a bear.

Do bears run when they have low hp ? If yes can you melee them like the others while they run ?

If most things were carried over from legacy haven, I'd think that bears probably enter a rage mode upon getting them down to a low enough health. They do not run when they are in this state.

Yes, but as soon as they enter rage mode they will melee you back; thus meleeing a bear in flee mode is not a safe nor good idea.
