Combat weight when attacking

Weight doesn't increase dmg for unarmed, str does, doesn't increase dmg with weapons either. What does it do for attack moves?

Increases the ability to penetrate enemy blocks, or makes your blocks stronger.

My guide does note this, have a read through the combat section for the full mechanics if you're curious :)

Tried reading combat guide buy didn't find anything about weights. I kinda assumed it does that but wasn't sure. Thanks!

All moves have something called “Combat Weight”, which is how well the attack is able to penetrate enemy blocks. This stat for our Beginner Fu deck is always just your UA skill compared to the enemies defense skill (for animals this will always be their UA stat naturally, but players could use blocks with their melee skill). In my previous example we see that the ant wasn't able to break my Quick Dodge defense because I had significantly higher UA during the fight (30 to be precise). Quick attacks like the Striking Punch are good at chewing through blocks the ants put up, allowing openings for the more damaging Backhanded Left Hook to hit. And of course, if a style isn't being blocked all damage goes straight to their HP

Relevant paragraph, cheers. From my beginner guide, not flameturtle's combat guide in case you meant you were reading that.

Yeah, I meant flameturtle's.

Maybe you can also tell me what tea is for? I can't really search "tea" cuz it only contains 3 letters lol. It gives more stam per energy but is that all? Why do we need black tea then which is the next stage after green? They give the same. No buffs, no hunger reductions, only stam?

Tea was pretty useless in legacy too. Same basic concept, more stam but not worth the effort. Black tea uses the herb table's quality twice. If your herb tables were higher Q than your tea leaves, this was good. Usually they weren't, so yet again not an overly important thing.

I'd bet there'll be an experience or two related to it at some point if that's a concern.

Edit: seem to think there was a rather nice tea leaf curio that could be made though.

Eh?
It increased the amount of LP you gained by 20%, which was pretty handy
I always had a pot of tea with me on my adventures

Oh I completely forgot that bit! It's been a while XD

Still too much of a pain in the ass for what you got out mostly though :P I think we used to drink tea before logging out since the buff lasted until the second you logged back in or something.

My biggest gripe was the container limitations it had

I forget the name of the buff (it's on the ringofbrodgar.com wiki), but the buff suspended when you logged out and was there when you logged back in and all your curios had finished. I always kept a couple of pots ready to go for when I was logging out for the night. You just had to make sure the buff reached full effect without running out because it took about 5 min to build up, but the buff only lasts about 5 min. (Wasn't unusual in w3 to keep tea on you while you were doing tasks.)
