Spook animals

Postby Robi » Sat Sep 12, 2015 5:24 pm

I'm a simple hermit who is too afraid to try the new hunting mechanics, and while I'm trying to build my palisade I keep getting interrupted by wandering Bears and Boar. Could we perhaps get an option to "shoo" the animal or to "create a racket" to intimidate them and make them flee?

With a high chance of aggroing the player. Yes, I concur.

What if the chance of aggro-ing increases the closer you are to the animal, so you have a better chance if you run towards it while creating a racket?

LMFAO at "create a racket"! You just made my day.... (Picturing animation of a hearthling running about banging on something trying to shoo away an animal....) For that matter I think they should implement rabid racoons that hide in things like cauldrons, hollowed out logs and boxes and have a chance to jump out and savage you when you go to use those items...lol

Might be getting too complicated, but what if you could "create a racket" with different items? The item could affect your chance of success. Like frying pans.

And charisma would affect in this someway. Higher charisma = more chances to succeed? :D

Why make a racket? Set fire to the forest. Problem solved.

Greenpeace called. They're looking for you.

And idea of scaring of animals, ye. Seems good. They just wander away themself eventually, but still sometimes RNGezus is angry, and keeps them somewhere nearby... Personally i keep trying to find a bear since yesterday.
