Hiding

You should be able to hide under boat. So you wouldnt show up on map or anything. Then you can ambush some poor noobs that are trying to steal that boat. ¦]

Yes. Hiding would be fun.

Since that mechanic to drop objects on the tile you're standing on was implemented I noticed you can somewhat hide yourself using certain objects like a cupboard, though of course if someone is using a custom client that shows players on radar or shows names (and they have you memorized or kinned so they could see the name) it would not work so well but in theory you could drop a cupboard on yourself and completely hide your character from another player.

Player radar is preventable server side if it's 100% invisibility caused by said mechanic. The server just doesn't send out location data for that character, overhead isn't too huge since there's no comparison calculations. Visibility calculations get a bit dicier since if one person in the party sees the person custom clients could share radar information via a private server.

It's certainly possible, might be a bitch to implement depending how the character location data transmission works though.
