Yes, it would be. Or, well. Hmm. I like it from the click-reduction standpoint, but it's not like one IRL makes charcoal from whole logs. Will consider.

Why not just have the character put the log down and start chopping logs as a loading animation?

Time isn't the issue after all.

Yes the tar production is low unless your using wood, but what the heck are you using the tar for? Tar sticks that valuable to you?
You could just stop lighting all your tar kilns if your getting over whelmed with coal, or throw some of it away, or trade it to people who need it. I run about 2-3 kilns and use the coal regularly and am able to keep a little stockpile of it, I like that, is it good quality? no, but it gets the job done.

Seriously tho, I have found no use for tar besides tar sticks, and who cares about tar sticks.

Black roofs look nice, and eat 25-50L of tar per roof.

So long as 51% is tarsticks, roof becomes tarsticks. I was halving 100L though lol.

yea since different logs have different numbers of blocks, that would be a better option, but it is then a whole new animation etc right? where the log dropped in would work like the firepits did/do... :?:

even just being able to "build" them in would be better i guess?
