A fox is slightly easier so i'd guess that 40 UA would be fine for those. Foxes run very early so either fight on grasslands where you can sprint or fight while on horseback. Killing badgers can give you agility/con food + hides for badger vest, which gives armor while being wearable under an actual armor item and +2 agility.

You can start the fire under it and let it burn a while, and then add the water only as you are going to actually craft with it. When you add the water it will instantly boil (assuming the warm up time has passed). Then, when you are done crafting, you can use a bucket to remove the remaining water and keep the fire burning if you wish or simply lift the cauldron to extinguish the fire.

On low levels, without even having leather discovered, you can have 6 glideable pieces of gear equipped: nettle hat, 2 x nettle shirt, 2 x nettle pants, clogs.
Start with SET 1. Once you've spotted a forageable object on the map, start making your way towards it while changing to SET 2.
Perception*Exploration drops, but forageables stay, your survival hard cap goes up. Profit. (You will have to sacrifice some inventory slots, but instant boost in quality just might be worth it)

thirty7even wrote:Hunting/foraging with disposable characters (I will call them slaves here).
Again, most of it is obvious but new players might find it useful maybe.
Multiple stages of tryharding.
Stage 1.
Looks like early in the game guests give significant LP boost, very often you will have to park your boat and walk quite a lot to a quest objective. Jump on a boat, sit your slave in the passenger seat. Load 2 crates. While sailing to your objective, load crates and both your and slave's inventory with crap you find on your way. Park, walk to your objective. If you can't be bothered to walk back to your boat, your slave can TP with the boat.
Stage 2.
Same as stage 1, but give your slave a cupboard as well. You'll have to either go back to your boat or slave will have to sail back alone.
Stage 3.
Hunting with 1 slave and 4 boats. I find this to be the most effective way to hunt and this was actually the reason I've decided to write this down.
Load slave's inventory with branches/blocks. Sit in separate boats, carry one extra each. You'll have to switch between windows a lot. Find an animal, drop extra boats, aggro with main, bring an animal to a good spot on a shore. Slave traps an animal with 2 boats. If it's an aggressive animal, make sure slave doesn't stay in neither of the trapping boats, otherwise you might lose both slave and a boat. This is easy to pull off since slave has three boats at his disposal.
This way you can take home 8 dead animals (2 in each boat) and it doesn't take much time/effort at all.
Next one is a slave abuse and should be illegal![]()
Stage 4.
Stage 3 + one or two extra slaves, sit them in passenger seats, let them carry a cupboard or yet another boat each. (it seems like you can only put an empty cupboard in the boat).
It's too much of a hassle for me, but hey, some of you guys might be this crazy.

When picking leaves, put them in a stockpile. Then put the stockpile in a wheelbarrow and carry it over your head to bring it inside.
To fill the cupboards, first put 12 silkworms in each cupboard. Then push the full wheelbarrow around and rightclick the cupboards.

To know the true direction of the quest, make the camera completely top-down so you only see the top of your head. Thank me later
Edit: This only applies when using :cam bad

Taking from another person's leanto is an act of theft and destroying a claimed leanto is vandalism.

Much quicker process if you can find a horse close by to carry your shit at speed.
I always keep a clover on me for horse purposes. Always. They're just too efficient to pass up.
I'm sure it's in this thread already, but it's good to remember that you can budge right up against them and then use the clover to speed up the process a bit.

Tip No. 105:
You can give some wild animals clovers for perks. Wild sheep will let you sheer their wool and using a bucket on them will milk them (needs confirmation), cows can be milked and horses can be ridden. Giving these animals clovers is also the first step of the taming process.

So you have a cliff in your village and it's nothing but a pita? Wrong. Make that eyesore useful
Outdoor mini-cupboards that take no space and won't decay. And when you are more advanced, your storage becomes your mirkwood curio supply.
Logs logs everywhere cause we need fucktons for mansions and all kinds of early game shit. Except they take so much space even when packed neatly. Cliff them and if you're not as lazy as I am you can do it tidy and fit more:
You catch my drift by now. works great for boats too as well as your village's curio desks which you can comfortably access from the bottom or the top of the cliff to stock and manage.

Tsutla wrote:Hunt for small game (squirrels, hedgehogs, rabbits) from horseback, by running them over.
Roadkill obtained this way is not capped by your survival (until the skinning, cleaning and butchering, which consequently caps the products). This is useful for gaining a little guality bump on some useful early materials.

Adder1234 wrote:A tip for finding nice things with fishing and collecting beach trash: If you know of a large siege or battle that's either happening right now or in the last day or so, go fishing and collecting beach trash. A lot of loot gets dropped in the water during sieges, either by the attackers not being able to carry any more stuff or by the people being attacked not wanting to let the attackers have any of their gear. In world nine I got a q118 bear cape and a q130 straw hat when I was a still a sprucecap this way.
Edit: Beach trash and fished items are part of a global item pool comprised of all items that have been dropped in the water across the entire map
