Some critique.

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

Some critique.

It seems to me that 2 most popular posts on the forum are "Known, will fix." and "Not yet." Srsly, is there anything that is not bugged and is fully implemented?
Bushes with 2 models? No.
Adequate taming without an animal attacking you after it yeilds? No.
Cutthroat knuckles being more that just a fucking vanity item? Known, will fix.
Roasting bigger animals? Not yet.
Taming horses? Not yet.
Rivers connected to smth other than a damn nothing at all? No, and will not be.
Flotsam? Wee-he-he, will not tell.
Fate system? Nah-ah-ah, that's a secret. xD
Study times on the tooltips for curios? Not yet.
One damn MC skill?! Will implement more.
Shield being another fucking vanity item? Will fix.(I hope so at least)
Ability to shoot through walls? Not yet.
Useless fucking 5 seeds per tile? Oh yeah, and that is not even a bug.

And that is just from the top of my head.

Every patch fixes one thing and breaks 2 others.
Wrought iron, paving, animals killing KO'ed players, etc.
Oh, and don't forget about constant crashes ofc.

That all would have been OK if the game was free, but it's not. You've got a subscription based pay system. Sorry for whining but giving us 2 fixes and a yet again partly implemented something every once in a while is not enough.

There is no need for me to suggest something, there are shitloads of things on your todo list. Just do them.

Thanks.

Wait and play or go away and wait to come back, these are obvious ways to go.

And what do you think they've been doing lol? Each update has come with lots of bugfixes and modifications to current systems.

They ain't perfect, but for 2 people they're doing pretty fine work.

Hi,

Apparently you are new to game development, so I shall jump start your understanding of the process by sharing with you the experience of a grizzled veteran, and informing you that what you describe is the natural state of affairs for all games of any level of complexity. I have worked on multiple, and this is simply the nature of things. There are always bugs, new mechanics always introduce new ones, and fixing is a process of continuous maintenance.

For reference, here are the bug forums for the popular online game World of Warcraft, widely hailed as one of the premier titles in the industry. It presently contains 2550 pages of reported bugs, many of them doubtlessly fixed, but nevertheless.

Haven & Hearth is extremely bug free, and works as intended 99% of the time, through multiple layers of, again, very complex interactions.

I am sorry if your favorite feature is not implemented yet, but this misses the perhaps more important fact that there are a ton of things that are implemented. The realm of the non-existent and possible is by definition infinite and thus it is perhaps more enlightening to ponder that which actually is, rather than all that which could be, and there are a ton of things you can already do in the game.

We will continue our work. Feel free to come back at a later date if the present build isn't to your liking. Of course, irrespective of the game state there will always be a bunch of bugs and unimplemented features, and such is life.

No one loses subscription time while the server is crashed, so there's no cost to paying players when the server is down.

A couple of server crashes per week can only be considered stellar performance three weeks after launch, after two years of closed development, and we are indeed proud of it.

Cutthroat knuckles were fixed yesterday, please read the patch notes.

Thanks for your much valued input.

Not being able to shoot through walls is, indeed, intended.

Thank god, ok well I knew the change was intended. Sniper walls were retarded.
