Well it has magically enchanted armor, flaming hell hounds and hell horses, and dragons. What else is required to make something fantasy setting pray tell.

Sides: Even if the dragon is not something that can be killed, that doesn't mean it has to be negative. As some of the suggestions were noting, the ability to trade it items in return for cosmetic skins is a perfect example of a use without needing to make it punishing.

That being said it's haven. It will kill us all no matter what we suggest.

Dragons are more of the same, instead of using development time to add different mechanics for more end-game content, like surgery, weather-based farming, village management, lore etc, you would be just adding a bigger animal.

The horrible reality of haven is that the worst thing you can encounter are humans, not monsters, and the same the other way around. Nothing can harm you as much as a sociophathic griefer, and nothing can help you as much as a nice player. In my opinon dragons and good fairies seem out of place in this world.

Fragons and good fey feels like they fit to me, but ya in a few strong cases the players we meet are ten times better or worse.

I agree, it seems an ill-thought out idea. Even if it were a means to giving your entire village some kind of advantage, the ultimate reward is still always going to be the degree of protection from the sociopathic players.

Also, would dragons serve a vital purpose of (presumably) the end-game? If so, how do you add it without making it unattainable by smaller villages and hermits? Seems like it could easily punish a certain type of player if not carefully considered.

There is no idea lol, which is why we don't have dragons. Any expectation on the devs otherwise is pretty silly because they've said they think dragons cool, but have no idea how/if they'd fit in the game. No plans to add them until that gets fixed.

You people are making assumptions outside of my original post lol
The dragon would not be a "got to have" event to make it against others in endgame

It's an optional event that gives you the option of what you'd like to do about it
I'm not suggesting that dragons appear and kill everyone or that you're forced to fight it

Also, a penalty of auth drain is not a terrible event, you can simply study curios to get the auth back... At the cost of losing an amazing opportunity

magic is all in the game yet you hear people say no magic...we have those guys running around the map for no reason plus the hearth skill. I say stuff as much as you can into the game without breaking it, the more content of all types the better

This game has needed more magic and more pve content for ages. Good riddance to those that don't want it in my opinion! What kind of sour person doesn't want magic???

Dragons should be something you stumble upon in the wilds for the most part, finding a horde of treasure and a terrible foe, maybe raid villages with HIGH authority...

We're in a low magic setting. Magic rules us, not the other way around.

AI would be abused and you could kill em with fresh alt.

AI isn't really abused, more like defeated by superior intellect.
