Mix n Match cooking

I guess this is likely a bit of work since items seem to be hardcoded, but nonetheless I wanted to suggest the idea.

When we're cooking, we have recipes like pie and many different fruits that seem appropriate for pie-ifying. However, we're hard locked to only having pies of the available types. It would be a neat ability if we could use any acceptable fruit (whatever that criteria happens to be) and get a pie of that fruit type. Preferably without having hard coded pie types, so this could be more flexible in the future.

Under that system, making a pie of something would add as a FEP multipler on the base fruit, possibly with a secondary stat added to all pies. I'd personally say FEP of the filling * an appropriate multiplier + a sliver of con perhaps?

This would instantly give all of the various FEP fruits in game a use in one fell swoop, and open up possibility for similar style recipes such as stews and soups without needing to hardcode a million different items in game.

I smell Salem mechanics, and I like it. It would be optimal if all food could be processed into other types of food, and carry over FEP + new ones.

Birch Bark Salmon, for instance... (Cedar Plank Roasted Salmon is a thing, after all)

Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

Completely forgot salem had that tbh. Special recipes are nice, but at the same time having generic recipes that take everything really round out the food system imo.
