Just give the option to sew wretched gore, 5 string, stone needle. That's all it would take, then it would turn into stitches debuff that ticks down for about 3 days till fully healed.

People have been at the point of 1 hit kills since day 2. Even hirdswords do enough damage to 1 shot someone in leather armor. Once you get steel for swords, even plate armor isn't enough to keep you alive.

Not everybody uses hirdsword, and to get a clean hit with a sword u need to get green def down (chop being the only maneuver for melee) so its really easy to defend from chop, but harder to defend from other punches (sometimes u will get hit) and thats where ur hp matters (imo)
