Grind barley flour faster

Postby CaptainMidget » Fri Oct 09, 2015 1:21 am

With the changes to how much barley flour we can make now, Its taken me an awfully long time and energy bar to grind all this Barley Flour. If possible, can we get a metal quern or a special type of glove that can speed up the grinding? Would be a nice thought, cheers.

The one thing I hate about the grinding is the very loud noise. Hate to bother the client maker with a mute button just for this though so i'll bother you jorb.

Add windmills as i said. This is the reason. On windmill you throw seeds somewhere. Then it takes some time and (depending on the wind) you will soon have lots of flour. It might not be faster, but you only need to throw seeds there once instead of grinding for 30 minutes and eating tons of food to replenish energy .

No, not 1 day. 1 hour max

I like the concept of having more useful buildings to make.

If it acted as a soft cap, you'd still have incentive to grind it yourself, but you could choose the easy way for a quality penalty (once crops get up in Q)

Or then it just a. takes more time + is very expensive to make. Requires lots of cloth, wood, ton of stone, maybe even few dozen metal. After all its meant for big villages that need big fields and lots of flour not lonely hermits.

Yes please.

The sound is good, but that volume; for a long duration - sustained activity, is not.

A gently creaking windmill with muffled grinding could actually be pleasant.
