Because no one cares if you have copper. Even if it is rare, it's not that useful.

I've seen plenty of people say they've never seen a copper vein. I've seen one other person say they've found a copper vein.

Maybe people aren't posting that they have copper because they don't have it? Even on the wiki, there are no pictures of copper veins.

Everyone and every area is different for sure. But Ive prospected thousands of surface level and shitloads of first level and never found copper. Iron and tin galore but not a single copper vein.

I can say that dragon helms were discovered about one month ago (but not crafted, because it was so early that it was not worth it). The screenshot was posted on polish hnh forum on shoutbox.
