soo... how about compost making?
as it stands now, there are soil sinks, but no way to make new soil, so technically, soil is now a finite resource, as far as i know
So how about allowing us to put biological material(apple cores, branches, barks, etc etc) into a compost bin to make soil? q can be affected by q of bin and material input, while adding a new dimension for soil gathering, and breaking monopoly of people who have soil nodes.

Also the manure. Cows should shit piles of this stuff.

With the current, albeit incomplete implementation of quarrying you can can pull up infinite amounts of stone from mountain terrain (grey stone patches on the overland map). Since stone counts as a fill material, you can use it for leveling or filling in holes dug in quality soil to replenish it.

I imagine this will be fixed to use stamina and deplete/dig out the stone at some point in time.

The zero-stam stonedigging is great for building towers too.
