Would buy one!

Additionally with this addition, make firebrands much harder to light, as they should be. ¦]

Has anyone here ever tried lighting a firebrand on fire by rubbing 2 dry sticks togheter irl? It is hard as hell! ¦]

Exactly, maybe double time to light it up? And lower chance of it being lit up ½

Also add a friction wound to hands when doing so barehanded withoun´t gloves, and a chance for a burn wound when it burns out! ¦]

Wouldn't buy one as I'd just make a torch and a bot to keep a fireplace lit 24/7 just in case my torch went out. :ugeek:

Broken my own record today. Had 4 blocks in inventory = 20 branches. Lit the fire with last pair of branches, so 9x fail, 10th time the charm. Pls gib alternative :(

Yeah, you can do that, so could I, still would buy it just for the novelty and to inject some money into the devs bank account to support the game. :ugeek:

Maybe it would not be bad to have candelabrum like in legacy, on which you can attach a candle, which when lit can burn up to 3 ingame days (24h real). You light it with firebrand, and you can light a torch from it.

Indeed it would not be bad. Also torchpost.

shameless bump in hopes the several ideas to making fire could be used, fire pistons and flint and steel are things i've used in real life and they are pretty low energy and really effective in a short time, we can smelt metal and make complex structures yet we struggle to light a fire :?

Right, I realized that the other day but apparently forgot it as quickly again. Thanks!
