Energy bar should just be removed. It conflicts too much with the hunger bar and other FEP mechanics and is never purposeful. All it's good for is suicide.

It's not like anyone is ever going to actually starve from lack of food. Trees and bushes are everywhere.

All it does is make alts required to do levelling/mass tree-chopping and the occasional "fuck u" if you forget/fail to log off or aren't paying attention.

+1

It seems so awkward to have the hunger bar depicting levels of hunger and then the energy bar which can make you starve.

This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

You are all misinterpreting the whole thing, the energy bar is just about energy and doesn't make you starve. You die from exhaustion, not hunger...

But exhaustion is healed by eating.

The hunger bar (Ravenous, Furnished, Hungry etc) should be renamed satiation or appetite.

It is confusing that you can be starving and Full, Stuffed or Overstuffed at the same time.

Starvation should be indicated better, but I'm not entirely against removing the energy meter entirely either. I haven't been happy with, indeed, the strong incentive to alt.

Purus pasta has nice solution for this.
When your energy goes under 1000% you hear stomach rumbles and popup comes that says:

You hear your stomach rumbling, gnawing pain in your guts reminding that you haven't had anything to eat for a while.
Burning through energy when it’s below 1000% will result in starvation damage to your health, eventually death.

Something similiar could be added in default client too.

I has never bothered me, but it might be how I play and so on. That and when working I do not feats I snack either with it around me or by running into my house. Ya on the reasons to alt this is one of them, a miner ones I think though.

I think instead of instant death one should get knocked out, which while down transfers 10 HHP to 100 energy (or something in that order of magnitude) leaving you with a wound (can take a while to heal, maybe through a honey-based potion?) when you get up.

So you'll have a penalty from ignoring energy, but you can recover from it.

Starvation already ticks down HHP and leaves a wound. Do you mean starvation should not kill someone at all?
