Pay-as-you-go subscription model

Once reaching the weekly playtime threshold, why can't we just get charged by the hour instead?

Something to think about.

Post like this would get you hated, plus it would be because if they did shit like that, it would cause more players to leave and make them have no money at all in their wallets.

This is assuming that people would want to get started in the first place. That is my current issues right now. Once we have a good intro and good first impression that people will stay, then we can focus on payment plans.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

The issue with pay as you go is partly the same argument people make towards subs. The cost. Here in the UK WoW and other like games are only £1 a month more. How would you make that cost effective? it would only be viable once you have used your 7/14 hours. If you are using up your 7/14 hours at the start of the week... maybe you should upgrade or sub if you really want to play more.

Kudos on the post, but im not sure it would work too well. Ignoring the fallout for a moment, the technical implications could be time consuming... and id rarther have new content :) Maybe you were thinking about paying something to refill your weekly play quota? That would be much easier to implement.
