Now that we have these huge rivers we need bigger boats!
Transport ships and rafts please!

Reposted here instead of my own topic, I would love to see more types of boats;
for instance one that is faster than the current one we have, but has less storage space and people space as a trade off.

Another type that has more storage space than the current one we have, but perhaps is slower or costs a lot more materials to make.

And yet another type that doubles as a small home, a house boat that is enterable. Seeing as this is a game, it does not need to be realistically drawn to scale, considering once you enter a building in the game you are teleported to a separate space which could be entirely a different size inside. Basically it works like a regular boat, but is slower and only seats one person as a driver, and people can enter inside of it where objects can be placed like a normal home. it can also be locked to prevent access by other players.

if someone bashes you you lose all you own. if it can't be bashed by hand everyone will make river blockades. (i'm assuming it would have a shield or some kind of perimeter defense, otherwise anyone could just sail away with your home :p)

Perhaps to prevent river blockades, there could be a nudge button added, to push something out of the way? I believe there is a feature like this in W urm Online/Unlimited. I would also suggest that the house boat not be liftable and or if its lifted its the same as carrying a boat with storage inside it in terms of how slow itd be.

Great idea lola, just as turtle said... the potential for greifing on both sides is high.

Thank you, I did consider griefing potential but you know people can be griefed in so many ways already, I just accepted it that it is part of the game, and putting the idea on the forum others can look at it and improve on the idea to help prevent those type of scenarios if possible.

for sure, ideas are better out than in. You never know what ideas yours could give others, or start a good healthy debate :)

This to be balanced though could be very hard, make it too hard to destroy to protect the houseboat... and people will make them as a wall. Make them too easy to destroy and people will find their houses destroyed as they login.

Then there is the issue of a moving claim :shock:
