Charter Stones Material Requirements

Does anyone else feel like charter stones took a pretty hefty hit to their utility with the addition of rock crystals to their list of materials? It's been over a week and we only have 3 crystals for our stone. And the respawn rate for rock crystals is moving incredibly slow and they only give one at a time.

Perhaps we could also use strange crystals and rock crystals interchangeably? (They're almost visually identical) They're a bit tough to get so it might be a fair addition. It annoys me how the whole "but Dis si gonns bot 60000 charter stones in every grid and gank the innocent scrubcaps" argument seems to have put charter stones behind yet another tedious timegate. You can't use them while flagged as a criminal anyways, and that seems fair enough to me.

I like that they're a bitch to make. We already have a few spread around, but it's definitely not easy or fast

It's fine though, finding 2 and having 8 more port in on top of you every single time is never fun

That's understandable. So what if charter stones gave you a 10-15min pacification debuff similar to the visitor buff? The debuff would stop you from engaging combat while you are still weary from the traveling. I think this might be a pretty ingenious way to prevent teleport ganks.

personally, I dislike a resource cost on any usable item that can be completely monoplolized, such as these new resources, before the new resources you may not have gotten the best clay or water or whatever, but you could get those items at even a q10 so that you could build or craft an item. Now, many of these new resource nodes ( which are semi-rare ) often have a pclaim on them, how long until all of these nodes are pclaimed and then crafting/building items requiring them are nil to any new players?

We have not got enough pink crystals yet but I like it they are powerful and that should mean hard to make.

but I do think they should be allowed to be used in caves? I mean why not? you cant teleport as a outlaw anyway..

Should that work in the other direction too then?
Else a group porting into a location could be picked off one by one...

Yes it just lead to resource for token for the happy few.

Tbf, the spawn rate is dire anyway, I get one piece of brimstone every four days if I am lucky, the ones I gathered at first have decayed ... I don't see how it is even possible to get as many as you need.
There is an unclaimed root tree and a heart tree close to me but these two never have their resources either, mainly because there are three groups in the area I'm guessing and they get to them first.

As for the crystals, I found one which wasn't claimed but had been picked dry and it was a long way from where I am. I don't like the builds being tied into these resources either when it's impossible to gain any!

So, yeah, I agree with boreial on the whole.
