Horse command: Stay

Postby jordancoles » Sat Mar 12, 2016 2:46 am

Allow us to right click our tamed horse and select "stay" which would make the horse wait on the spot for 10 minutes or so

It is annoying to have to get off of your horse to pop inside of a house or w/e and have it instantly run away

build hitching posts everywhere ofc. or learn to go inside places with horses

alternate of stay could be a summon command like whistle or something

I know how to go inside of houses and caves, but it's a pain in the ass

There are other reasons why you would need to get off of your horse outside as well, such as if you're trying to pick up frogs without squishing them, or if you're giving clovers to wild animals to bring back with you

Have you ever seen a horse? i used to work on a horse farm and STAY IS THE FIRST COMMAND WE WOULD EVER TEACH THEM. if your horse can't "stay" its pretty much useless.

Either "Stay" or let us hitch them to trees.

Just talked to a friend of mine who owns a horse and rides almost every day and he concurs that "stay" is a basic command that every horse must and does learn.

Just let the horse stay at the place you dismount for some minutes before it wanders off to eat some grass...

Yeah would be perfect. Sucks to have to catch it after dismounting while, say, trying to give a clover to another animal or something like that.
