I have a claim but I have not enough leather to make fences? therefore no protection because the claim does not protect they really pass.

try to hide your tubs in a cave and build your entire palisade in one go as soon as they're done.

i made 6 tanning tubs when i firsts started, but had a claim and saw almost no one for the first few days.

make 2 alts, have them both put the tanning tubs into leantos if no claim
if claim put a roundpole fence up around your stuff, it takes vandalism to steal then

still losing your stuff? then start traveling imo
