This time it is going to be quite short.
In the previous world cheese production was concentrated around making str. boosting brodgar blue cheese and midnight blue cheese. Creamy Camembert would give too much charisma, so it was unfeasible, unless you'd like to make some creamy cocks. The other types of cheese has disappeared completely. Nowadays, due to mammoth's meat, elk sausages and etc. you do not need to put any effort to the cheese production, because:
1. Str. sausages, bear and mammoth meat are enough to reach the 330 level cap. Especially with the salt involvement.
2. It takes a lot of effort to produce cheese, whereas hunting is more efficient and does not require that much. Simply, pick up a bow, tamed horse and a cart. Spend a few days on hunting and you'll get enough food to reach the stat cap.
In contrast, cheese requires:
- Taming cows and sheep. Keeping them alive and milking them.
- Making vinegar (and that is an overly looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong process). You may see that a lot of people are trying to buy vinegar, but no-one sells it, since no-one has it in big amounts.
- Growing good q. trees for the curding tubs and cheese trays.
- Setting up an underground level for the cheese racks, making mansions for the cheese racks, making the cheese racks by themselves.
Therefore, I am afraid, cheese-making has become a rudiment. Consequently, there is no reason to keep domesticated cows (only pulling the oxcarts).
The fix would be allowing to slice much more cheese per 1 tray, otherwise it is not worth the effort.
