Bank of Nikolai

Right now sieging a village isn't very rewarding and usually leads to a frustration after everything is being alt vaulted and sometimes even causes total destruction of the base that is being sieged. In my experience every place that i've participated in sieging was abandoned and people who played in it either quit or moved into another village. The time it usually takes to bring shields down is 14 hours, now if people start using new mechanics to fix the shield with brimstones it will take 3 more hours to destroy claim or village shield. Now imagine that there are whole bunch of personal claims inside the village, outside of the outerwall's range, so that raiders would have to spend extra 14-17 hours to raid the personal claims just to find out that everything that was in the claim would be moved to another claim that has full shield. With this mechanic sieging isn't really worth the effort if people under the siege know that they are doing and prepare in advance.

I think shields on personal claims should go down with the village shield even if they aren't being catapulted or rammed, as long as they touch village claim and claim village shield goes down, personal claim shields should go down as well.

I also think that alt vaulting should be nerfed by making hearthfires lootable, and add physical vaults to the game, similar to the ones that were in the legacy, containers with soak and keys, and finally add another village building (similar rule as for charterstone) that can only be built once per village, that will have a huge soak and keys, aka Bank of Nikolai (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0o8XMlL8rqY). edit: Make it unable to use any sort of teleportation mechanics while inside the Bank of Nikolai, and when its hp goes down to 25%, make it possible to enter without the keys, and have similar eyeball mechanics before u commit entrance as to when you teleport via crossroads. (also hoping that new mechanic that doesn't let you repair things that are being destroyed works for houses)

one more idea on sieging, a little bit off topic - add some sort of reward in form of objectives when you siege a village, that would let you gain fame points if you successfully siege or defend your city, and make them usable similar to numens in legacy, but more pvp oriented maybe?

here is a little example of how the siege can be extended for 3 days (of nonstop siege time). When you lose village claim shield and about to lose your vault shield, destroy personal claim 1, and extend the 2nd, then repeat with 3rd, 4th and 5th, you can have more claims around that u can extend, being on a safe distance from catapults, to make your vaulting nearly impossible to break into, with a little preparation and nearly no effort.

from what i understand right now both claim and village shields only break if they overlap on the target tile that is being hit with a siege weapon. Correct me if i'm wrong, but if it is the case, please make all personal claims touching the village claim go down along with the village shield no matter where village shield is being hit.

That definitely looks pretty cheesy. I think the vclaim lowering all the connected pclaims is pretty reasonable.
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

Good ideas, but it seems to open up new possibilities of using vclaims offensively to collapse a bunch of pclaims, so while the suggestions are good, I think it needs some serious thought from the devs before it gets implemented.
