Before insertion it said that +10 Melee combat and +10 Carpentry

And when I wear boots - only Carpentry increases by +9 but not Melee

Ranger boots softcapped the hard Metal Rivets.

because

Well...I see...

Also I believe the change to prevent going beyond doubling your stats is a change that once again empowers those already strong even further and weakens those who rely on the gear bonuses. If I am a new player with 50 ua 50 melee and I want to buy a pair of thanes so I can better my chance of survival in a fight it really won't help at all against a player with 300 ua and 300 melee because their base stats allow them to increase that even further.

i feel this majorly changed the way the game is played. I just spent a good chunk of resources, building sets of gear with gilding to get my stats back to where they were, and some I cannot, while others are majorly buffed. I can make a set of +54 survival +50 exploration (which could be higher with grinding for more slots), easily made a +103 perc +22 mm +4 con set, but bear cloak is dead and pointless even to gild, in order to get the str i had, I would need to make a full 8 piece set just for STR....and lets not even talk about int.

I have to admit that I am somewhat at a loss as to what it is you have lost that was so terribly important.

Bear Capes I can see having a large impact, but otherwise? Int and charisma buffs?

The effect of a bear cape should for that matter be fairly easy to reproduce with a couple of teeth.

Most of the more significant stat buffs come from rings anyway, no?

Farmer's hat, fox hat, ashen robes... lynx cape? Lawspeaker's stuff?

Agi buffs from ranger's gear I guess could matter a lot.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I have to admit that I'm not entirely sure what the big deal actually is.

What do you even mean by "it", though? The idea of more customizable gear as such? Must everything be hard coded by us the way it always has been or riot?

Charter travel requires massive amounts of Charisma which is otherwise useless so the combined Charisma buffs were a big deal.
Int buffs allowed you to load up an alt with 10 int with 120+ int worth of curios so they were a big deal.
