Bear Capes I can see having a large impact, but otherwise? Int and charisma buffs?

The effect of a bear cape should for that matter be fairly easy to reproduce with a couple of teeth.

Most of the more significant stat buffs come from rings anyway, no?

Farmer's hat, fox hat, ashen robes... lynx cape? Lawspeaker's stuff?

Agi buffs from ranger's gear I guess could matter a lot.

yes because everyone has rings...you killed off all small groups that traded for high end gear...do i really want to trade for rings now when all the gear i traded for up to this point is worthless to me. I now cant mine with armor on to be safe from troll now i must mine in full str gear, most likely spammed "cheap" clothing to get atleast 2 gildings each

instead of wearing stat clothing when i need im now wearing a full set of stat clothing almost all the time and only clothing choice i really have is my vanity hat

i think you woulda gotten alot less complaining if this was held off on implementing till a fresh world, where no one logged out one night with high stats from high q gear and logged in the next day with nothing

can rng be more forgiving jorb? maybe a hard cap as to how many gilded things can be added? or a soft/hard cap as to how many stats one item can give?

i feel like i'm a boyscout with all these pins/badges btw

Ok, but if charter travel is the big deal here then perhaps the problem is precisely that, rather than this change.

Int buffs allowed you to load up an alt with 10 int with 120+ int worth of curios so they were a big deal.

You can though, armor doesn't take up that many slots. At most you're losing out on 15-20 str, and while that is a lot it's not a huge price to pay for survivability

So you are losing 10-20 MC from what you would previously get.
Be happy as a new player you dont have to buy thanes to catch up a little. You can craft MC and AGI set.
And I dont think you would survive either way in a combat situation. They did say combat changes coming too so you might become strong vs getting away from capped enemies again.
Also if there was no double stat cap people would be running around in super easy to make combat alts.

But so can the player who is getting the full bonus from the rings to increase that bonus even further with his gear as well, where as the player who can only double his stat by 50-100 loses out greatly.

Yup same feeling about int.
I believe anyone who complain about a nerf have spent more time crying on the board than trying the new system.
it takes approximatively 15 sec to figure that our char are now stronger.

There is still some obvious imperfections ( 2 slots items , high end items , come in mind ) but crying because your 2 days old char is now weaker is just stupid. ( and wrong)

arguably though you should just be saying that the charisma requirement for charterstone travel is too high, not that you can't get high enough buffs from gear.

int thing is a big deal, but it should not have been so easy in the first place.
