Yupp. Loftar is a great programmer, no doubt about that.

Anyone would be good if they sat shackled to a desk while you tweak your nipples over a pile of doubloons.

So that we can spend an even higher proportion of our time on communication instead of implementation?

Have you actually ever worked on anything? Have you noticed the difference between a real-life meeting, an IRC channel and e-mail discussions?

i guess thats one thing we can agree on programming a game of this scale is quite impressive even if he names his variable with the zodiac killers cipher

the trick is to communicate better ive worked on teams all my life even some teams for making games all of these forms of communication have their pros and cons lucky for you you only really need feeback you can in fact get feedback through all of these methods youd have fewer broken and incomplete systems if you just implemented them right

Maintaining the development context between me and loftar alone takes a lot of energy. We need to communicate our ideas and thoughts in precise and exact terms that can actually be implemented as such. Mass meetings are not conducive to that kind of work.

i definitely wouldn't call a chat room or a trello board a meeting you end up wasting more time trying to fix the mistakes you guys make instead of just doing it right the first time

Let us take our discussion up to this point as an illustrative example of just how meaningful it can be to engage with the community, and leave it at that.

It'll be done when it's done.

That's not a particularly constructive way to look at things. I'd like to think that you at least value the community even a tiny bit.
