Posible bug - sheepcheese

Postby Granny » Sun Oct 09, 2016 6:42 am

Had placed cheese tray in rack in cellar, to get Feta. Checked last night before going to bed, then it was nearly ready. Checked this morning and it is now generic gouda.

Either I missed the window, or this is bugged. If I missed the window, I think that is way too short. I liked it better when it was an action from the player that forced a change, taking the tray out and putting it somewhere else. I hope this is a bug that can be fixed, as it seems less casually friendly.

Edit: This happened with the trays I placed outside in racks as well. Generic gouda, everything.

Now, I had previously used the same curding tub for cow milk, but I emptied it of milk and curds before I poured the sheepsmilk in. It was the same rennet though.

Hey Granny, :) , yes this is the problem ^ the rennet is seen as having 'mixed' with the milk so it then turns new milk into gouda, I did it twice before I realised what was wrong, first time I just assumed I hadn't removed all of the previous milk. I just replaced the tub in the end, new tub, and then it works as intended.

I've also noticed if you get milk from aurochs and put it in your cows milk tub it also turns into gouda, I'm not sure if that is the case if it has it's own tub, I'll make one for it today and test, or someone else may already have the answer.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking ... but basically you need separate tubs for your sheep milk and for your cows milk, you can't mix them or use rennet that is left in one tub for another type of milk.

Amanda may have the answer here. Try with a clean curding tub.

Yes, Amanda was right. You need seperate tubs for sheep milk and for your cows milk.
