According to Jorb, you could cross last world pre-expansion, border to border, in less than 3 hours on walk speed.

Maybe if you can walk in a straight line (without rivers, objects, etc...) btw it sounds still too little...
Make friends with the other crabs or try to escape the bucket.

How do we deal with a theif? I can't attack due to it being a crime, yet I watch him destroy our walls without so much as a moment's delay.

I'm actually rounding up because he said 3:12 for a diagonal border-to-border distance and I don't want to make the calculation. The actual number for a horizontal path must be between 2 and 2:30 hours I think.

This world is way too small indeed. Crossed from edge to edge in three hours or so. Looks like W9's initial size.
Getting sick of bumping into other players every half an hour.

This is what I was figuring in. Nobody really takes a direct route crossing the world. If you're in a boat, you either have to portage it across land, and if you're on foot, you either have to swim across if it's narrow, or find your way around if it's too wide. Plus there's the whole "ooo shiny!" thing.

Im pretty sure that the excitement will calm down soon. People will settle and so.
At least in last world you could live pretty damn alone in expansion areas. I never saw anyone.
