I haven't had a chance to pop into one yet, but I've been watching other people's posts on the subject and JordanColes video. The themes seem very HnH, though the experiences I've watched seem very bland and without personality (outside of being animal dens). I'm cautiously enthusiastic now after my previous concern.
I am concerned about what this may mean for the feel of the game, the overall theme. I'm curious what impact this will have on the game world at large, and if 'raiding dungeons' is going to become necessary for successful growth and advancement of a community. This idea probably concerns me most of all. The theme in HnH so far has been development through concerted effort or through stealing from other players, and now we've introduced "Raid for phat lewt" angle... There will be consequences from this, I've never seen an instance where such a thing was added that it didn't reshape the feel of the whole game.
Puzzle Pirates suffered greatly from the introduction of raids in an environment where they didn't exist, and where PvP was the biggest adventure to be had. HnH had a similar build, and now we've got our Sea Monster Hunts. I hope we fare better than that game did.
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.
