Logs become mirkwood logs

Postby Brick_ » Sat Mar 03, 2018 5:30 pm

So what if logs would decay into mirkwood logs after a long period of time say 1-2 months time. ?

I remember hearing rumors they did back in like w8. But I don't think I've ever noticed it happen even once. So, I'm inclined to believe they don't.

Since ever? They often appear in place where the very, very old logs were. Or am I just imagining things? Image

Pretty sure saw them in 'remains' of cut down trees. Also there would be only finite number of mirkwood to go around.

imagining things ... has been suggested multiple times but never implemented from what I know.

I am almost 100% certain that this is not currently happening.

I have had logs at my base in a pile for two months, no change.

Also, with the new decay fix - if you go to claims that are ages old and finally hit by decay, the logs are still non-decayed.

That said, I think this idea would be really cool. Along with the other posts about having trees slowly regrow over time.

Same here.

Depends. High quality mirkwood would IMHO have bad consequences, thus should be avoided.

But as mirkwood runs out eventually (and I'm a regular when it comes to suggest mechanics that allow for a perpetual world) an ability to replenish it is needed. I would like to see it together with lifecycle for trees, so natural (=q10) ones that die of a natural cause could turn into mirkwood after a while - avoiding quality runaway on it.

High Q mirkwood isnt all that muhc of a problem really.
cuz they will decay after a loooong ass time anyway. like more than a month of laying in a swamp (i think it should be in a swamp)
and if they are laying there everything else around you will be increasing anyway, soo the mirkwood logs you make will be a month behind anyway.

Suggested previously. Will consider.
