the problem is the new players may not give the game a chance if their first encounter results in being killed regardless of how much time you invested in that character.


Also a permadeath game isn't really optimal for a player who quits because they die

agreed but you don't give them a chance to get hooked if its a muderfest from day one. i at least had the chance to build a little homestead before being killed by russian for wearing a fox hat.

not many details what the stream said was.

animals
seaguls whales maybe sea serpents

map
contienents islands and oceans.

food
nerf to cheese
changes to symbel
changes to satiations
buff to some foods
something about more drinks

other stuff
siege stuff changes no more claim shields
travel weariness
cave biomes
new trees
some stuff that realms can claim (not sure about what cause im a noob)
new dungeons maybe.

are there any fresh world start guides for a hermit who usually just starts playing again mid-worlds? I got most of my high Q stuff from abandoned bases and I'm not sure how to start new worlds without taking 10 years to get higher quality shit
