We've been developing tonight, and here's what's new.
Walls: Three walls implemented. A simple, good for very little (but pretty) fence. A strong palisade and a nigh on impossible to dent brick wall. Begin by constructing a cornerpost and then right click on the cornerpost to expand the fence/wall. Two free tiles flanked by corner posts on both sides make possible a gate. Once a gate has been built, the character (the character laying the final touch on the gate) will receive a key for it. Learn "Locks & Bolts". Right click on a piece of clay with a key to create a key-mold. Craft new keys by holding a key-mold and right clicking on a bar of wrought iron. Name keys by right clicking on them. Right click on a gate to lock or unlock it, provided you have the key.
You will find that the walls have a high initial cost for the first corner post, and lower costs for the following segments. The reasoning here being avoiding simple wall griefs by having a steep initial cost.
Fence has no gate atm.
New Industry: Glassmaking: Dig for clay on beach tiles to get sand. Burn sand in kiln to get raw glass. Craft away.
Expanded Industry: Winemaking: Build a barrel, fill it with grape juice. Juice turns to wine after one ingame week. The barrel holds 100 liters. Wine turns to vinegar after one ingame week. Drink wine at your own risk. Build a winerack to display your bottles for kicks.
Do not attempt to pull a cart through a gate, you wont get out unless you destroy the cart.
Change: Damage to items is calculated as (str/10) +1 for axe or +2 for pickaxe. Some items now have a soak value, notably brick walls have ten. That means that a character with a pick axe needs to have a strength of at least 80 in order to even dent a brick wall.
