or you could just make the localized resources instanced and untrade-able/drop-able. Then nobody would bother to camp them since they are abundant and have no real value.

Regarding the Localized Resource problem:
1 - Make them randomly appear and then vanish when harvested.
2 - Make harvesting them an XP-ensive event, eliminating the ability of alts to participate in a realistic fashion.

Seems like this obviates both palisades and alts.

Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

doesn't really eliminate the alt problem if you're not camping them, as then the alts can go "do things" while hunting down the new location and get the xp needed. I think just randomly moving, or at least semi-randomly, may be enough.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Just allow us to bash non-claimed walls and make collecting last 30-90 seconds, so people can have a chance "to fight" for it.

What is point of this game?
We could just have a big green button, and when you press it, text "you win" appears in the screen.
Everything else is just useless tedium, right?

no need to be silly. I am just trying to say that it is important to try and remember why stuff that is implemented, was implemented at all. if an item is implemented for a purpose and then doesnt fit that purpose, is it relevant to try to fix it at all. etc.
