dude without any further expansion on the proposed implementation in this thread, being able to bash unclaimed walls effectively changes very little and is very much putting a bandaid on a small scrape. I don't really care if the local resources can be walled or not, most of them aren't even necessary and are not worth fighting over either way. Rock crystals and Ice Spires might be the only resources worth a damn, underground has plenty of guano/notes/smoke that you don't have to bother trying to wall those. Salt was nerfed in to uselessness, pit clay doesn't spawn nearly fast enough to be as useful as cave clay, headwaters who the fuck cares about those, honestly I don't think there's a single resource I care to go for unless it is a necessity for meaningful progression like the rock crystal being required for deeper mineholes and for charter stones.
