I also did a bit of excel calculation of LP. It only takes 2 M to get to 200 of one skill or 141 of two skills. 2 M can be achieved by macroing in 20-30 days for just one character (not taking into account of multiple client macroing).
Judging from the fact that this guy cares nothing for that character, I'd say it's a kamikaze alt with a feeder alt somewhere safe. Even if this guy is killed, you did not get to the source. The other case is that he simply doesn't care of his character dies as long as he accomplishes his destructive means. Once dead, another character rolls out (with partial ancestor stats). I wouldn't be surprised if he macroed to go full trad before he started to go on a killing spree. Finally this is talking on a a single or unorganized scale here.
On a related note, a friend of mine in the B1 sector got killed by a palisade breaking griefer and he was a hermit too. He never came back.
Yes, that's the whole point. They have no real intention, they don't "need" anything. They stole NOTHING from us. 5 cubbards full of tin bars, 2 cubbards full of copper bars, 1 cubbard of bronze. q40+ silkworms and eggs, a cubbard of silk thread, q25-40 tree seeds of all varieties, tobacco, peas and pepper seeds. ect,ect ALL left on the ground and the server crashes (yeah there's another wonderful thing) before we could get alts on to even pick some of the stuff up! They took nothing but stole clothes off the dead and even left them on the ground to rot (I assume so the new characters wouldn't even be able to get their clothes/equipt back.
They dont care about village or hermit, they dont care what you have or dont have to steal, it's not strategic, or out of need, or anything but plain old greifeing becuse the game attracts it, allows it, encourages it and gives very very little defense against it. Meaning it must be what they want...period. And noone really cares or does anything about it. It was the 2 guys killed from Prontera who had took the scents and went ad killed those last NE quandrant griefers...their reward was to be killed by known players for some political bull from a person that didnt even play anymore. Those tht can pvp don't really even stand up and g get people like this because (I guess) they know it doesn't matter either, and the greifer will just ancestor back and be ready for another run in a week or two.
It's all just tiring, sick and overall broken.
