It'll probably be less noticeable with higher qualities, but replacing every single cheese rack in your village every month or so once your industry has been significantly improved is a bit tedious.

Cheese itself, due to very high satiations/hunger, isn't very good compared to other fairly easily bulkable foods like autumn steak. Plus, it requires more long-term, and concerted effort by virtue of requiring animals, most of which serve no real purpose other than cheese.

I would suggest changing the softcap to be (rackQ+trayQ)/2, or even (rack+(tray*2))/3. This would still make it still occasionally required to replace your racks, but less frequently. Or, more accurately you'd have the option to replace your trays more frequently instead.

I make a lot of cheese and don't mind either way, this would make it easier to get higher q and feel less urge to replace I guess.

+1 having to rebuild racks and the old racks becoming absolutely useless is a bad game mechanic.

Racks should not influence quality at all. Is the rack even in contact with the cheese?
Trays however should not be able to be made of woods that taint the cheese.

I like this idea. Higher q gives you more uses, so you would naturally care about it. The process of destroying the racks is done for you, making it much less tedium. Finally if you don't care, you can just make shitty racks and still have good cheese

You don't need to have 1000 trellis, you can just play like causal and grow just 10 cucumbers.

Quality of cheese racks mattering in the first place is stupid.
If devs want to add sinks for wood, there are definitely better ways...

The only way to stop a bad guy with 1,000 racks is a good guy with 1,001 racks. I won't let my home be invaded...

Only partially on topic, but lots of newer/non-faction players vastly overestimate the amount of botting that actually happens by "top tier" players not that I'm claiming to be one. I'm pretty confident once it becomes more necessary to have cheese in order to fight, building/moving cheese racks will be pretty quickly automated. I would compare it to making pepper.
