GROUND LEVELING IS HARD WORK!!!!!

Postby havenman » Mon May 04, 2020 10:35 am

Old 2D versions seem like the world was flat
For me, who started from the 3D version, it is difficult to level the ground to make palisades

I saw a 2D video A while ago, it was a flat world
3D looks beautiful, but from a labor point of view 2D is advantageous

my idea
Claim Land -> LP consume -> all area flat up/down ( like Land Survey adjustment)

The work I dislike the most are ground leveling and palisades

^^ Lol.

Levelling can be hard work when it comes to large uneven areas but I actually like it, not sure if that makes me odd ... but I find it both relaxing and rewarding when it is done. I can't support your idea as personally I also like some of my area to remain natural and to have different levels in different areas or for creating different effects.

It doesn't have to be completely level for palisades, you can slope them by building one-three tiles at a time depending on the gradient ... someone else may know exact specifics. :)

Set your survey tool more toward the middle so you have less work to do. also get a metal shovel.

How about a sloping tool instead? Real hard work is making gentle, aesthetically pleasing and natural looking slopes instead of the these flat, tryhard assaults on my lucious azure orbs.

Seriously, let us type in a slope (1:2, 1:3, etc), choose one of 8 directions, and select an area. Aim for hard to learn, easy to use like everything else in this game.

I think it's relaxing too, although I will say that that an annoying part is placing soil stockpiles correctly when you're working with sloped terrain. They pretty much need a flat 3x3 (maybe 2x2 with ctrl?) area because their hitbox is so big, but that's a problem if you're using a survey that doesn't/can't extend to a flat area. I'm also a perfectionist so I end up spending way too much time on it.

Slopes ... meh ... Needs parametric input. :P

Code: Select all
7xy/e^(x^2 + y^2)
