Mauled by Adder = Death?

I wasn't careful enough and got into a combat with adder. Ended up with "adder bite" x8. Looking at wiki I'm not in a place where I could make medicine. On top of that I have "Swamp Fever" x11. What to do? Just make beacon and bring other character in? There is Ancient Windthrow nearby with one leaf regenerated but I can't collect it. With message saying that I already collected leaf's. Btw I have like 12 constitution.

I am going to assume that you have 1 adder bite that's at 8 damage. You might live. Treat your swamp fever. If you have 8 adder bites you are already dead. Make a new character.

Snake outside of mountains are rare. Don't go on mountains if you can't deal with snake/goat aggro

Also, death can feel pretty bad at first, but consequences are how we learn. Death isn't that bad, and you get to respawn at your base if you choose to inherit your old character.

Aside from making a sling to deal with snakes early on; once bit, with no snake juice, you can heal up all other wounds, and eat as much con food as you can. Craft con gear and slap it on. At your own risk take small naps in best quality bed you can to try and out re-gen the bites if you are healing up other wounds- but, death is part of the game- you can always inherit your ancestors.

How did it turn out?
Adders are not necessarily a death sentence. My toon got mauled by an adder on his first day, but I got lucky sleeping it off.

Animals wander very strategically, and mauling happens often. If you really wanted to save your guy, your best bet would have been to check if anyone in the Realm chat had any spare medicine, but you would have needed to know where your province's thingwall is in order to teleport to anyone's charterstone.
