Three days after we've all been killed by undocumented "features". (Flying adders? Troll dungeons? Acid rain? Roaming herds of carnivorous bunnies?)

Bold of you to assume there are changes that aren't related to birds.

We've been developing, and here's what's new...

-Hostile birds can now follow you through doors, able to enter caves and buildings.
-We have added 13 new types of bird, some of which are aggressive by default and move at 16x your run speed.
-We have added obtuse special mechanics to train these birds, but they probably don't work.

They postpone posting the changelog because there isn't any yet. Even on the trailer there is nothing new, contrary to previous trailers. I bet they are rushing new features and patches right now. But hey, new world good, I'm happy.
In-game name: Balin. Hearthlands resident since World 2.
Skipping W16

There is only one change anyone cares about.

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I wish they'd post some sort of changelog for feedback. There's so much of jank and tedium in the early game that could drive a new player to quit and a lot of it has relatively trivial fixes. You only get one chance with the Steam launch and it'd be a shame for jorbtar to waste it.

...but mostly I just want the game to be more convenient for me.
