I do think he meant the rework announced on stream.

Some players enjoy the "grind" of the early game - eat one of everything, chop one of everything, pick one of everything, etc. They tend to get bored once they have a stable village.

I think the biggest deterrent to new players will be the same as always - the rampant griefers and PKs the first 2-3 weeks of a world. So many posts on gaming sites regarding H&H, "build anything and some powerful player comes along and trashes it, and will kill you if you're there".

I only remember Jorb saying something like this (heavily paraphrased):

"We just figured out that FEP/hunger is really important, so we reworked/rebalanced all foods around it."

Doing a Steam release without any action to reign in the bots? Well, if nothing else, the review section should provide a good bit of entertainment.

Anything you can suggest to counter bots without convoluting the game mechanics that makes the game worse for everyone or any other good idea to counter it? We all will appreciate it :D Take it to C&I tho

You don't stop the bots. You stop the alts. That is the real answer and it's extremely achievable to do so. Plenty of games I've played have successfully limited people to 1 single account.
You take away people's alts and the majority of the game's problems go away. Botting doesn't need to be touched, and it can't be regulated easily either, but it doesn't need to be.
Just get rid of alt spam.

this is a serious question how many players can the server fucking handle before it explodes
the last World I played in was World 13 I skipped 14 and this started playing in 15 around the beginning of 13 the game ran like ass and there was 1,500 people on around that time do you think the server can handle 3000 to 5000 people

by the way this is lowballing it I think 7,000 to 10,000 might be possible and somehow the game actually explodes for a period of time even maybe 30,000 to 50,000 players will attempt to play the game will they stick around probably not

so I'm concerned if the servers turned into a nuclear Fireball and blow up Switzerland ¦]
