Linking & Unlinking your Steam/Haven & Hearth accounts

Why tf would linking your accounts wipe your characters? Surely this has to be a bug right?

I have had multiple people I know create steam account, play on steam, link to haven (to use non-steam client) and have no issues.

Is the issue: playing on haven account then linking to steam (which has no haven characters)?

Steam first. No haven account characters at all.

I have both steam and the original client turned off, but still getting "Cannot link account to Steam while it is being played on.".What can I do?

According to the logs, you were logged in the entire time you attempted to link your account, so I suspect you are somehow mistaken about the client being turned off.

I'm not entirely sure what you are asking, but there is no way to move characters between accounts, if that is what you are referring to.

Shame i accidently verified my steam account, so much for having my old account linked. then again i could verify both as a joke. hmmmm.
