Hitching post vs domesticated animals - bug or intended?

1 Hitched domesticated animals can go through open gates while roaming (i made multiple checks) - free roaming cannot (sometimes males can, but it is too rare to use it as regular behaviour)
2 Hitched domesticated animals cannot breed - checked only 24h period, hitched female and free roaming male in 1 closed paddock, 24h - no pregnancy
If this was bugs - i will be glad if they were fixed
If this is what it intended to be - i will be glad if devs will change opinion and make hitched domesticated animals same as free roaming

My cow took 4 days to get pregnant while in a pen with another cow of opposite gender. Sometimes they breed instantly some times it takes days, you would need to study this more.
