Let us plant trees in garden pots

Purely for decorative purposes, ie can't get seeds or other tree stuff from it so it's not a bypass for regular tree farming. The tree in the pot should grow to like 1/3 of the size of a regular tree. And of course it should be possible to hang Christmas decorations on them. I just want an indoor Christmas tree.

on a side note. it would really be cool if we could cut, and place down non growing spuce or fir trees for chrismas trees. otherwhise i have to plant my christmas tree 1-3 weeks in advance for winter.

make it work like runestones, and make "yuletree stand" a placeable object that you can affix them too.

but yes +1 for bonsais too

Are you suggesting that the felled trees should be whole, and that then, like butchering animals, the branches and fronds should be cut off to obtain the trunks?

i mean, that would be an idea. but proppably just introduces more tedium to an common task for niche usage.

i was more thinking about an building action working similar to clicking "make runestone/quern" on a boulder,
felling the entire tree, foliage and all.
with an liftable, and placeable stand , most likely made from rope, glue, and either metal or wood,
on wich you could place such trees, to make them stand, inside or on paved ground,
the tree would decay after a set period, intoo its "winter mode" , or just get brown for needletrees.

Good ideas. (Rare to see this much agreement on a topic, lol.)

Add this to the proposal for wooden floor tiles and we can really fix up our homes.
