I think there are more acute issues than easy fast travel if we're talking about the "global banditry" and completely defenceless hermits, villages, it seems just an enhancer to the core issues. Lets start with shit combat system that is very unappealing to learn and to be involved in, 1% of server pop being untouchable and invincible for the rest 99% of game pop etc etc devs barely giving a fuck about making this aspect of the game better etc etc etc

In my experience easy teleportation doesn't make more violence, it makes violence more targeted. Targeted violence is usually against big villages/generally disliked people. It's probably better for the game that I spend 8 hours trying to kill Shaki or Maze as opposed to 8 hours on a snekkja going in a random direction and probably killing x5 as many people while running into nobody who has a chance against me.

Every time Snail posts, it's 99% him saying the game should keep letting him be a vulture picking at it's carcass or else he will need to be a vulture picking at it's carcass, but it will take more effort.

You should target yourself if you are aiming at generally disliked people. easy to find also ;)

This is literally the case.

In worlds where travel/tracking are easy I have to play kinda safe because people try to gank us constantly. In the worlds where travel has not been easy even the people from our group who are rly bad are free to run around in Mrage dunking hermits 24/7

Xir, there is a charter willig 10 minimaps away from your willig, and all it does is reduce response time by ~60 seconds. Its been there since ~6 weeks into the world. You're insane if you think there would not be faction charter networks (again, because it happened before) if thingwalls were nerfed.


well, that's right, that's why we need 8 IRL hour cooldowns for teleporting from a tingwall to a charter. So that you can't get into another zone at all, and if you do, you can't run away from there when the bloody hands debuff ends.
Crosses shouldn't work forever either. To do that, they need to remove tobacco from the game.
of course, we need to remove all possibilities of global presence on the game map, and not just teleports between tingwalls.
