@OP Just lower your expectations to zero, and you won't get disappointed. Works for the rest of us.

There are only indirect facts, for example when they were stacking items in the inventory, they reworked stacks separately for each item by 5–10 per patch. This means that meat, clay, threads, seeds — these are independent entities in different parts of the code, each with its own script working independently. It's a critically high level of madness which allows one to assume any wild guesses about server architecture.

Jorb and Loftar have needed a community manager for about a decade because they lack the energy to communicate themselves. The problem is, they would have to loop in a 3rd person to their duo, and they would have to communicate with that person. And even that is too much for them

idk the bigger issue is if they had a community manager, they would have no idea and not much what to communicate through the community manager anyway. Like what news a community manager could say compared to devs themselves when there's little development, pretty much on a hobby level development happening. Community manager would be more of a burden for them imo

If they were to add a community manager it would have to be at the start of a new world when there is actually a population to engage with, and the devs would likely have to give some sort of developer tools to the person to host events in Valhalla, or whatever, to keep people's interest/promote the game

But yeah, at this point right now a CM would have nothing to work with
