Fractions/Nations

Ok, here's the idea of making H&H look different, much different.

Why not making PCs belong to fraction/nation they want? It can give some skill training discount (for example, arabians can improve sewing faster) and make buildings look different (maybe they can build different buildings, like tents instead of log cabins) and they can make other instruments, for sure. I think it'll force players to come together or to fight more brutally because they'll need other cultures for better working. And yeah, it'll make towns look more interesting and colorful.

sure, just no bonuses like that

oteherwise i would save up my lps to become a arab for 2min while i spend poins in sewing at a discount, before returning to what i was, the same being applied to other bonuses ofcourse.

What makes this different from having classes and races? I thought not having any of those was one of the points of H&H.

Or you could just call yourself Arabians and wear gauze on your head. I prefer that way better, more customization. I could call my people Coltanians and have them all wear merchants robes if I wanted.

I also disagree with the skill boost

Classes haven't been done yet. They have talked about calling them credos and played around with various implementations. You can be assured that when they are put in they wil be in an original form and that Avu with bitch and haw about it for at least three pages worth of posts.

This has already been suggested long ago. You may want to read my reply from then. To large extents, it still stands as the current plan.

I'm glad to hear it's going to be realised somehow. I hope you'll keep balance between no possibility to choose and huge boring character creation part. And i also hope to see different kinds of standart items (just a visual thing, but i'm sure it's gonna be interesting).
