Eh. The Lean-To isn't supposed to be cost-efficient, nor is it supposed to be something you'd want over a cabin.

If it bothers anyone that it takes so many boughs, that should be enough to push them to just go ahead and build the damn cabin.

If you're not ready to "settle," that's what the Lean-To is for.
