Having experienced the Dev's handiwork, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a game mechanic that makes the boat suddenly turn to rubble while you're on it, impaling you with hundreds of splinters as you drown.Jackard wrote:Waiting for boats is still a good idea!

You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

Re: So much fun! Right?
Personally I think the devs should bump up the priority on fixing retardedly dangerous swimming. Almost made me quit the first time it happened.
On my first char I found myself thinking there was hardly any place I could travel, between the owned land and rivers. So I saw swimming and was like, "That's it! I can finally escape this damn trap of a starting area." My character probably made it 2 pixels into the dark blue river before dying.
Either your character needs to tell you, "Hey stupid, I'm not that good a swimmer yet" or you need some form of rated risk assessment (click across the river and you're prompted "33% chance of making it across. Continue? Yes/no."), or swimming needs to not be horribly lethal.

Let's just be happy because they haven't implemented Russalkas yet.

I'll be disappointed if boats won't be added together with sea monsters.

All this talk of boats makes me wonder how it'll work with claims over rivers..
