If you're not in an immediate hurry, one thing I could suggest is get an alt up with yoemanry and build a small outpost with a log cabin to store stuff in until you're ready to tear down your existing claim.

why just your inventory :p take a boat with crates (chest if you have metal) so you can take all you need for a claim palisade food and curios
