the thing is I dont have a physical salem beta key so i cant access those forums =P

whoever sold you the account without the key is a real moron then.
not gonna say "a lot", but you sure are missing out "some".
anyways, if what you wanna do is mapping again, try talking to alg or arvin.

I can already tell mapping salem will be much harder as far as i can tell there arnt many rivers coursing through the map only near the sea.

there are probably less, but many rivers and streams as far as i see, gotrek. not only near the sea.
it is, though, harder since we have no boats but all the cliff/hills/darkness to slow us down.
there has already been a few maps out and there is a thread on world mapping in beta forum. ask your friend to read it for you. or like i said, contact algerith and ArvinJA if you want to contribute...unless you wanna do it alone.
