Its how Dze said, helm q does not effect caveins with exception that it degrades 5q every time you get hit. It halves tha damage of the cavein, depending on the layer you aremining. L1 = 50dmg, with helmet = 25dmg if its q100 or q6, just make sure its over q5 :)
